Beginning Face Painting

This class is suitable for those who are either complete beginners or novices with a little experience. It is a hands-on class for those who may want to simply paint at their children's next Funday, realise their creative side, or who want to consider a career in Face Painting. However, most people will gain something from this class as they will relish the time and space to practice whilst being watched, guided and encouraged to stretch their boundaries and learn some new skills.

The 1st module concentrates on the essential theory and proven techniques plus plenty of hands-on practice to discover your talents!
The 2nd module provides a day crammed with faces to practice so you can easily get results!

Tribal art

Juliet will provide tuition in the art of creating the ever popular tribal designs. Once you know how, it is easy! Learn the tricks of the trade and expand your face painting skills - please the boys and the men as well as more delicate, feminine and coloured variations.
A good level of brush skill is useful, although not essential. Bring a good quality round brush – possibly a Sable No.6, although others will work. I can supply these if required. I suggest a strongly pigmented black paint, DFX or Paradise for example. We will work on paper and our arms for practice.

Glitter Body Decoration

This new class will extend your knowledge of Y-Body Glitter Tattoos exploring its use on larger areas of the body. We will create freehand designs and also combine the use of body paint, Glitter Tattoos, jewels, feathers and other adornments! Bring your usual Glitter Tattoo kit although I will have plenty of other resources for you to try. Alternatively, you can purchase a kit either in advance from www.facadebodyart.co.uk/cubecart , or on the day. You will need a model or you can share one model between two artists. Bring some pictures for inspiration. Please contact Juliet at Façade Academy for further information.

Flowers, Fairies & Flourishes

This class is suitable for all levels of painter. However, we do recommend that you have at least some basic experience. There will be many resources and books available from around the world for ideas. The instructor will show methods and techniques to make the brushes and sponges work for you, so that you can realise and develop ideas further than you had thought possible!

Boys and Monsters

Are you struggling with designs to please the boys? This course will show you how to achieve some fearsome and scary faces. You'll learn how to transform even the sweetest little boy into a zombie, a monster from the deep or the latest superhero. This class is suitable for all levels, from new painters to the more experienced.

Progression From Novice

Progression from Novice This class is suitable for those who have done the beginners class and may have been practising for a while, perhaps having done a few parties or even achieved a few paid jobs.

Advanced Technique & Design

Progression from Novice This class will suit those who have been painting for several years as a professional painter, who possibly feel they are in a rut and need to stretch themselves. We will look at different resources, books and pictures, and we encourage students to do some prior research and bring ideas and pictures and perhaps sketches with them. We will follow the students' wishes wherever possible and add ideas of our own.

Bodypainting Basics

Students attending this class will probably have been face painting for several years and feel they would like to extend their skills. They should have mastery of the main techniques of face painting regarding sponge and brush blending and good brush control. You will need to bring a model with you, although if you make an agreement with another painter you may share a model. I may be able provide models with prior notice.

Airbrush Workshop for Beginners

This course is suitable for those with little or no knowledge of airbrush painting. It will introduce you to this fascinating area of body art, starting with temporary tattoos. The course will give you a taste of the skills required to create your own freehand artwork.

Bespoke Facade

Do you have a group of people wanting to learn to face paint? Maybe you are a Primary School PTA, a Play scheme, a holiday club, or even a company wanting to activate Team Building?

If so, Facade's instructors will come and provide training at your venue, and can design a workshop to fit in with your requirements.
